LEADERSHIP

DOUGLAS ONSI

PRESIDENT & CEO

Doug Onsi has served as Cypherpunk’s Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, and Secretary since 2011 and became the President & CEO in April of 2020. He has been at HealthCare Ventures since 2007, including serving as a managing director since 2009 and the chief executive officer of Tensha Therapeutics, Inc. which was sold to Roche Holdings, Inc. He was previously at Genzyme Corporation, where he served in roles as VP, Campath Product Operations and Portfolio Management, Oncology and as VP, Business Development. Doug received his JD from the University of Michigan Law School and his BS in biological sciences from Cornell University.

WILL MCEVOY

CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER

Will McEvoy is the Chief Investment Officer of Cypherpunk, where he oversees the firm's Zcash accumulation strategy and its broader privacy technology investment mandate. He is also a Principal at Winklevoss Capital, where he invests across crypto, space, energy, bio, defense, and other frontier categories. Will focuses on companies and technologies that slow entropy and create order in critical civilizational domains. Previously, he authored institutional Bitcoin and crypto research at Fundstrat. Will serves on the board of Real Bedford FC and holds a degree from The George Washington University.

KEVIN ZHANG

HEAD OF MINING

Kevin Zhang is the Head of Mining at Cypherpunk, where he oversees the firm's Zcash mining operations and infrastructure strategy. He entered the Bitcoin space in 2014 and has spent the past decade at the forefront of mining and infrastructure deployment. He was most recently Head of Asia at Nakamoto Holdings, leading its Bitcoin treasury strategy across the region and cultivating relationships with governments, regulators, exchanges, and public companies. Prior to that, Zhang spent five years at Foundry, a Digital Currency Group company, ultimately as SVP of Mining Strategy, where he oversaw the deployment of one of the largest North American fleets and helped build the world's largest Bitcoin mining pool for four consecutive years, serving the majority of publicly listed mining companies. Before Foundry, he led mining at Greenidge Generation, where he converted a 106MW natural gas plant into the first federally regulated power plant to mine Bitcoin. Earlier, he ran mining operations at Bitcoin.com and co-founded Project Spokane, then the largest Bitcoin and blockchain datacenter in North America. He began his career as a financial analyst at Ford Motor Company and holds a BS in Finance, International Business, and Chinese from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business.

KHING OEI

CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD

Khing Oei is a seasoned investor with a strong track record of investing in public, private and digital markets. Oei is the Founder and CEO of Treasury, an emerging euro-denominated Bitcoin treasury firm. Before Treasury, Oei was the Founder and CEO of Captur (formerly AlphaSwap), a decentralized asset management platform. He was previously the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Eyck Capital, a London-based event-driven hedge fund focused on distressed and special situations across credit and equities, managing over $200 million in assets. Prior to that role, Oei was a Managing Principal and Portfolio Manager at Bardin Hill (formerly Halcyon), a $10 billion multi-strategy hedge fund where, as CEO of its European operations, he led European distressed investments and managed the firm's $2.5 billion CLO platform. Oei began his career at Goldman Sachs in the Special Situations Group and later worked at Fortress Investment Group's Drawbridge Special Opportunities Fund. He holds a MSc in Econometrics from The Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

JOSH SWIHART

CEO, ZCASH OPEN DEVELOPMENT LABS (ZODL)

Josh Swihart is the Chief Executive Officer of Zcash Open Development Labs (ZODL), where he leads efforts to advance the Zcash ecosystem through product development, ecosystem coordination, and user adoption initiatives. He has deep experience operating at the intersection of digital assets, privacy technology, and decentralized infrastructure, with a focus on turning complex cryptographic systems into usable, scalable products. As an Advisor to Cypherpunk Technologies Inc., Swihart provides strategic guidance on ecosystem development, product strategy, and the broader adoption of privacy-preserving financial technologies.

ZOOKO WILCOX

FOUNDER OF ZCASH, CPO AT SHIELDED LABS

Zooko Wilcox-O'Hearn is a pioneering cryptographer, cypherpunk, and founder of Zcash, the world's leading privacy-focused cryptocurrencies. With a career spanning decades, he has been instrumental in advancing decentralized systems, applied cryptography, and digital privacy. Zooko co-founded the Electric Coin Company (ECC), which launched and stewarded the Zcash protocol, leveraging zero-knowledge proofs (ZK-SNARKs) to enable private yet auditable transactions. He currently serves as Chief Product Officer at Shielded Labs. As an Advisor to Cypherpunk Technologies Inc., Zooko provides strategic guidance on cryptographic innovation, privacy infrastructure, and the evolution of self-sovereign digital financial systems.

ARJUN KHEMANI

AUTHOR, PODCASTER & DOCUMENTARY FILMMAKER

Arjun Khemani is an author, podcaster, and documentary filmmaker who dropped out of high school to pursue building at the frontier of technology and ideas. He is now deeply involved in the Zcash ecosystem. As a vocal advocate for privacy as a precondition for freedom and creativity, he believes encryption and decentralization are the peaceful path to sovereignty. As an advisor to Cypherpunk Technologies Inc., Khemani is helping advance the company's mission to defend privacy for humans on the internet through Zcash and its surrounding ecosystem.

DEV OJHA

FOUNDER, VALAR GROUP

Dev Ojha is the founder of Valar Group, where he leads the team helping make Zcash post-quantum, and scaling it through Zakura and PIR. A cofounder of Osmosis and a member of the team that launched Cosmos, he has spent the past decade doing critical research and engineering across zk-SNARKs, BFT consensus, and DeFi, work deployed in production systems securing hundreds of billions of dollars in value. Few people alive understand the cryptography behind private money as deeply, and fewer still have shipped it into production. As an Advisor to Cypherpunk Technologies Inc., Ojha provides deep cryptographic and systems expertise, guiding the engineering behind private, scalable, post-quantum financial infrastructure and its path into real-world use.

JEFF TILLER

VP & CHIEF OF STAFF, GEMINI

Jeff serves as vice president and chief of staff to Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss at Gemini. He joined Cypherpunk as a founding member and advisor in December 2025. Prior to joining Gemini, he was a founding member of the design studio LoveFrom, led by former Apple Chief Design Officer Jony Ive. Jeff previously worked under Ive on the Apple Design Team. He began his career in politics and government, working at the White House from 2010-2017 and serving as a spokesperson and strategic communications advisor to President Obama.

THOMAS DIETZ, PH.D

CHAIRMAN & CEO OF WAYPOINT HOLDINGS

Dr. Dietz is currently chairman and CEO of Waypoint Holdings, LLC, a diversified financial-holdings and services company. He is also the Managing General Partner for Firebrand River Capital, LLC, a biotechnology-focused investment advisory firm founded in 2021. Previously, Dr. Dietz was co-CEO and then CEO and a director of Pacific Growth Equities, LLC, a San Francisco-based investment bank and institutional brokerage firm from 2004 to 2009, when the firm was acquired by Wedbush Securities. Dr. Dietz served as head of the investment banking division at Wedbush until November 2010. Prior to taking the CEO role at Pacific Growth, Dr. Dietz served as the company's director of equities research and was an award-winning biotechnology and biopharmaceutical analyst. He joined Pacific Growth in 1993. Previously, he was a member of the research faculty in the Department of Medicine, University of California, San Francisco and the VA Medical Center. Dr. Dr. Dietz serves on the boards of several private companies. Dr. Dietz holds a Ph.D. in molecular biology and biochemistry from Washington University, St. Louis, and was a National Science Foundation Post-Doctoral Fellow.

WILLIAM LI, MD

CEO AND PRESIDENT OF ANGIOGENESIS FOUNDATION

In December 2003, Dr. Li joined the DOBI Medical Systems board of directors and was also a member of DOBI Medical System's Scientific Advisory Board. Dr. Li is a co-founder of the Angiogenesis Foundation in Cambridge, Massachusetts, of which he has been the President since April 2000 and Medical Director since December 1994. Dr. Li has extensive expertise in the field of angiogenesis and its therapeutic development and clinical applications. He trained with Dr. Judah Folkman, who pioneered the field of angiogenesis research. Through the Angiogenesis Foundation, Dr. Li has worked in association with the National Institutes of Health, and other major governmental and academic institutions, and industry leaders on angiogenesis-related programs. Dr. Li received his M.D. degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his clinical training in internal medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Dr. Li has also served on the faculties of Harvard Medical School, Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine and Dartmouth Medical School.

PATRICIA MARTIN

PRESIDENT & CEO OF BIOCROSSROADS

Ms. Martin joined BioCrossroads as the president and CEO in July 2019. A former Eli Lilly and Company executive, she was the chief operating officer (COO) of Lilly Diabetes for seven years, served as Lilly's Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) and Chief Alliance Officer (CAO). In her 26-year career with Lilly, her leadership roles also included clinical product development, finance, business development, human resources and investor relations. Ms. Martin serves on the board of directors of CareSource, Inc., one of the nation's largest Medicaid managed care plans, where she chairs the Compensation Committee. She joined the board of Flame Biosciences, Inc. in 2020, and served as co-CEO in 2022. In 2021, she joined the board of AN2 Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: ANTX) and chairs the Compensation Committee. Within the Indiana life sciences sector, she serves on the boards of the Indiana Biosciences Research Institute, the Indiana Health Information Exchange and the Regenstrief Institute. Ms. Martin holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a bachelor's degree in accounting from Indiana University.

NISSIM MASHIACH

CO-FOUNDER OF NUBIYOTA

Mr. Mashiach is the co-founder of NuBiyota, a privately-held company developing an innovative microbiome therapeutics platform. Prior to his role at NuBiyota, he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Macrocure, Ltd. He is also currently a member of the board of directors at Chemomab Ltd. He also previously served as General Manager at Ethicon, a Johnson & Johnson company, from 2009 to 2012. Prior to then, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer at Omrix Biopharmaceuticals, Inc., a public company acquired by Johnson & Johnson in 2008. Prior to Omrix, Mr. Mashiach held leadership positions at several pharmaceutical companies. He holds an MBA from the University of Manchester, England, an MPharmSc from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel, and a BSC, Chemical Engineering from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel.

CHRISTIAN RICHARD

PORTFOLIO MANAGER, MONASHEE INVESTMENT ADVISORS

Mr. Richard became a non-employee director of Leap in January 2023. He is Portfolio Manager of Healthcare at Monashee Investment Advisors, a multiple strategy asset management organization and was Head of Public Research for 3.5 years at Samsara BioCapital, a venture capital firm focused on investing in the life sciences. Previously, he was SVP of Research for approximately 6 years at Tekla Capital Management, a healthcare focused closed end fund manager, where Mr. Richard covered the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors, both public and private and across all size companies. Prior to Tekla Capital Management, he was a Partner and Head of Research for Merlin Biomed Private Equity/Merlin Nexus for 12 years, a cross-over life sciences fund focused on negotiated transactions in both late-stage private and public companies. Prior to Merlin Biomed Private Equity/Merlin Nexus, Mr. Richard spent five years in the Allergy/Immunology Group at the Schering-Plough Research Institute. He has a B.S. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Purchase College and both an M.S. in Biochemistry and an M.B.A. in Finance from New York University. He is also on the Advisory Board of the Ty Louis Campbell Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on funding research in aggressive childhood cancers, in particular brain tumors.
